Fighting the Modern Philistines
Israel disengaged from the Gaza Strip in 2005, with no intention of ever returning. However, since Hamas took over Gaza in June 2007, Israelis, living in the western Negev region, have been under constant attack from thousands of missiles and mortars. Since February 28 alone, over 100 rockets have been launched at southern Israel, including direct hits by newer military-grate rockets on homes in Israel’s port-city of Ashkelon. · Firing from the ancient territory of the Philistines and the giant, Goliath, these modern terrorists use civilians as human shields, by locating their rocket making facilities and mobile launching points within residential areas. · Israel is left with little choice but to take self-defensive actions against those who target its towns, cities and civilians. May God deliver these modern Israelites from the deadly aggression of modern Philistines! |
