Congressional Cowards?

President Obama promised our veterans: "[I]f Congress sends me a defense bill loaded with... waste, I will veto it." 787 pork-filled earmarks later, the Defense Authorization bill was passed by Congress and presented to President Obama for his signature.

On top of the “pork,” liberal legislators deceptively and disingenuously attached the PC “hate crimes” legislation to the final defense bill! This action forced Congress to choose between giving preferential treatment to homosexuals and making our military go without.

States already have laws against actual discrimination. Expanding “perceived hate” to the federal level puts America in lock step with the stated agenda of homosexual activists. Cowardly doing so in the Defense Authorization bill is bad public policy and precedent.

Many fear it will allow the force of government to marginalize anyone whose religious beliefs are at odds with homosexuality.
