Merry Christmas

MERRY CHRISTMAS! There, I said it--loud enough share a sense of celebration, but not loud enough to be obnoxious—like some retailers who are suppressing all prominent references to “Christmas” in their “Holiday” ads or by their employees.

What is the name of these “holidays” which they are carefully avoiding to mention and which we are celebrating? Why can’t they be plainly stated in the spirit of “tolerance” and all that PC stuff?

KTLW programmer, James Dobson, decries the “secularization of Christmas.” He says, "Retailers depend on the Christmas season to generate a high percentage of their profits for the year, and yet they want to do it by distancing themselves from the traditional Christmas story.”

I don’t know about you, but I’m going to wish everyone I see a “Merry Christmas” --- AND I plan to make my purchases in stores, catalogs and web sites that acknowledge the birth of Jesus, our Lord, as the “Reason for The Season!”
