Senate Passed Bill

The Senate recently passed a bill that would have allowed Federal money to support embryonic destructive research. When President Bush vetoed the ethically-questionable bill, some liberals accused him of attempting to impose his “religious agenda on America.” Meanwhile, 63 senators sought to impose their in-humane agenda on America!

One senator sought to rationalize his vote with flawed utilitarian reasoning, saying he only believed the human cells were a potential human being if they were implanted in a mother’s womb. Then they would be viable and valuable as a human being and worthy of protection. The senator seems to think the embryo's location is determinative of its humanity.

Where we are does not determine what we are. Our essential nature does not change based on our location. The moral law is clear: we should value every human being—regardless of age, size and location—and treat no one as a means to our selfish ends.

"…Sing to the Lord, praise his name; proclaim his salvation day after day.
Declare his glory among the nations, his marvelous deeds among all peoples.” Psalm 96:2,3 NIV

“May mercy and peace and love be multiplied to you.” Jude 2 NASB
